60 years of humans in space & 20 on ISS: Why Belgium matters?

Mon, Apr 12 - Tue, Apr 13 (8:30pm - 12:30am)
Online

Description

On 12th of April 2021, the 60th anniversary of Gagarin’s 1st orbit around the Earth will be commemorated worldwide. Furthermore, for 20 years straight, humans have been continuously living aboard the International Space Station. This is a major milestone of two decades in which there have always been humans in space.

This event will be an occasion, then, to look both back to a settled past of ESA and Belgian scientific contributions and technological advancements on International Space Station and ahead to a bright future to safely embark on long-duration space voyages to the Moon and Mars.
